Advocates & legal consultants
Cyprus law, explained before you sign.
We advise companies, shipowners, property buyers and families. Every instruction starts with a written scope and a fee basis that you agree before any work begins.

01 Practice
Six areas, each led by the advocate who does the work.
We keep the practice focused. The person you meet at the first call is the person responsible for your matter, not a name on the letterhead.
-
01
Corporate & commercial
Company formation, shareholder agreements, restructuring and the everyday contracts of a trading business.
-
02
Shipping
Registration under the Cyprus flag, sale and purchase, ship finance and crew employment.
-
03
Property
Due diligence, contracts of sale, title deeds and leases, for buyers, sellers and developers.
-
04
Immigration & residency
Permanent residence, work permits and relocation for employees and their families.
-
05
Disputes
Negotiation, mediation and litigation before the Cyprus courts, with an early view of cost and outcome.
-
06
Private client
Wills, succession and estates, including estates with assets in more than one country.
02 How we work
What happens after you get in touch.
The same four steps for every new client, whether the matter is a will or a fleet refinancing.
-
1
First call
Thirty minutes, at no charge. We listen, ask the questions that matter and tell you honestly whether we are the right firm for it.
-
2
Identity and conflict checks
Cyprus anti-money-laundering law requires us to verify who you are and check for conflicts before we act. We send a short list of exactly what we need.
-
3
Engagement letter
The scope, the responsible advocate, the fee basis and an estimate, in writing. Nothing is billed until you have signed it.
-
4
Agreed updates
Progress reports at the points set in the letter, and a call before anything happens that would change the cost.
03 Fees
You know the fee basis before we start.
Legal costs are rarely the problem. Surprises are. Every engagement letter states how we charge and what the estimate includes.
Fixed fees
For defined work: company formations, property purchases, leases, wills, powers of attorney and residency applications.
Hourly, estimated
For disputes, transactions and open-ended advice, with a written estimate for each stage and a cap if you want one.
Monthly retainer
For businesses that need regular advice, at an agreed monthly rate reviewed every six months.
Court fees, Land Registry charges, government fees and VAT are listed separately in every estimate.
04 Partners
Three partners, six associates.
A small firm by choice. Each partner leads a practice and stays involved in every matter in it.
Helena Corran
Managing partner · Corporate & commercial, Shipping
Founded the firm in 2009 after eight years advising shipping groups and lenders in London and Limassol.
Marcus Vale
Partner · Disputes
Runs commercial and property disputes, and says plainly when a case is not worth taking to court.
Clara Haddad
Partner · Property, Private client
Advises on property and succession, including estates with assets in more than one country.
